Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, well-ventilated surface.

  1. Connect satellite dish: Attach coaxial cable from LNB to SAT INPUT on rear.
  2. Connect to TV: Use HDMI cable for best quality, or AV cables for composite connection.
  3. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable to router for online features (optional).
  4. Connect USB storage: Insert USB drive for recording (optional).
  5. Plug into AC power.

WARNING! Ensure all connections are secure before powering on. Use proper surge protection.

First-Time Setup

Power on receiver and TV; follow on-screen installation wizard.

  1. Select language: Choose preferred menu and audio language.

Connecting Devices

  2. Match cables to correct ports (HDMI to HDMI, etc.).
  3. Select correct input source on your TV (HDMI 1, AV, etc.).
  4. For recording, format USB drive in receiver's menu first.

Tip: Use high-speed HDMI cable for best HD quality.

Recording & Playback

Supports recording to USB storage (FAT32 formatted).

  1. Schedule recording: Press RECORD button while watching, or use EPG to schedule future programs.
  2. Timeshift: Pause live TV automatically when enabled.
  3. Playback: Access recorded programs via MEDIA or LIBRARY menu.
  4. Manage recordings: Delete, protect, or sort recordings in file manager.
  5. Play media files: Supports playback of video, music, and photo files from USB.

WARNING! Do not remove USB drive during recording or playback. Use recommended drives for reliability.

Network Features

Online Services: Access YouTube, weather, news apps (subject to regional availability). Software Update: Manual or automatic updates via internet. Service Portal: LG-specific online portal for additional services.
