Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on level, solid floor.

  1. Remove shipping bolts: Use wrench to remove all shipping bolts from rear panel.
  2. Adjust leveling feet: Turn feet clockwise to raise, counterclockwise to lower.
  3. Connect water supply: Attach hot and cold water hoses to corresponding valves.
  4. Connect drain hose: Secure drain hose to standpipe or sink.
  5. Plug into grounded electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not remove shipping bolts before moving to installation location. Ensure machine is level to prevent vibration.

First-Time Setup

Power on washing machine; follow initial setup prompts.

  1. Run initial cleaning cycle: Run empty tub clean cycle to remove any residue.
  2. Set language: Press SETTINGS button to select preferred language.
  3. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow SmartThinQ app instructions for network setup.
  4. Load test wash: Run a small load to verify proper operation.

CAUTION! Ensure water connections are tight and leak-free before first use.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access settings via control panel or SmartThinQ app. Control Panel: POWER, START/PAUSE, PROGRAM SELECTOR, OPTIONS, SETTINGS.

Display: Shows cycle time, settings, and status messages.

Programs: NORMAL, HEAVY DUTY, DELICATES, BEDDING, TOWELS, QUICK WASH, SANITARY, ALLERGEN, TUB CLEAN. Options: TEMPERATURE, SPIN SPEED, SOIL LEVEL, STEAM, PREWASH, EXTRA RINSE. Settings: CHILD LOCK, SOUND, LANGUAGE, DIAGNOSTICS.

Connecting Water Supply

Hot and cold water connections required for full functionality.

  1. Turn off water supply before connecting hoses.
  2. Connect red hose to hot water valve, blue hose to cold water valve.
  3. Use only new hoses; do not reuse old hoses.
  4. Ensure connections are hand-tight plus 2/3 turn with pliers.
  5. Check for leaks after turning water supply back on.

Tip: Install water hammer arrestors if water hammer occurs.

Using Wash Programs

Select appropriate program for fabric type and soil level.

  1. Sort laundry: Separate by color, fabric type, and soil level.
  2. Load machine: Do not overload; leave space for movement.
  3. Add detergent: Use HE detergent only; follow manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Select program: Turn PROGRAM SELECTOR to desired cycle.
  5. Adjust options: Set temperature, spin speed, and additional options.
  6. Start cycle: Press START/PAUSE to begin.
  7. Unload promptly: Remove laundry immediately after cycle completes.

WARNING! Do not wash items contaminated with flammable substances. Remove all objects from pockets.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Clean detergent dispenser: Monthly, remove and rinse under warm water.
  2. Run tub clean cycle: Monthly, using affresh® tablet or 1 cup bleach.
  3. Clean door seal: Wipe monthly with soft cloth; check for objects.
  4. Clean drain pump filter: Every 3 months or when "Check Drain Filter" appears.
  5. Wipe exterior: Use damp cloth only; no abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Unplug machine before cleaning. Do not use steam cleaners.
