Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Attach stand: Align stand base with monitor neck and secure with provided screw.
  2. Connect video source: Use D-Sub (VGA) cable to connect to PC's VGA port, or DVI-D cable for digital connection.
  3. Connect audio: Use audio cable from PC's audio output to monitor's audio input jack.
  4. Connect power: Plug power adapter into monitor, then into AC outlet.

WARNING! Monitor is heavy; lift with care. Ensure stand is securely attached before adjusting.

First-Time Setup

Power on monitor; follow on-screen prompts if applicable.

  1. Turn off monitor and computer before connecting.
  2. Connect video cable to corresponding port on monitor and PC.
  3. Connect audio cable from PC's line-out/headphone to monitor's audio-in.
  4. Select correct input source using INPUT/SELECT button or OSD menu.

Tip: For best digital image quality, use DVI-D connection. Ensure graphics card supports 1440x900 resolution.

Using OnScreen Control

OnScreen Control software allows mouse-based adjustment of monitor settings.

  1. Install software from included CD or LG website.
  2. Launch OnScreen Control from Windows system tray or Start menu.
