Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, well-ventilated surface.

  1. Connect Antenna: Attach your TV aerial cable to the ANTENNA IN port on the rear.
  2. Connect to TV: Use an HDMI cable (recommended) or SCART cable to connect the VIDEO OUT to your television.
  3. Connect Audio: For surround sound, connect the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT to your AV receiver.
  4. Plug into AC power.

WARNING! Ensure the unit has adequate ventilation. Do not block vents. Use two people to lift if necessary.

First-Time Setup

Power on the unit and your TV. Follow the on-screen setup wizard.

  1. Initial Language & Country: Select your preferred language and country/region.
  2. Auto-Tuning: The unit will scan for available digital TV channels. This may take several minutes.
  3. Clock Setting: Set the current date and time for accurate recording.

Recording to DVD/VHS:

  2. Timer Record: Use the GUIDE or TIMER button to schedule future recordings. Ensure a recordable disc/tape is inserted.
  3. Dubbing: Copy from VHS to DVD or vice versa using the DUB function in the menu.

Playback:

  2. Use PLAY, PAUSE, STOP, SKIP, SEARCH buttons for control.
  3. For DVDs, use TITLE/MENU button to access disc menus.
  4. Timeshift: Press PAUSE during live TV to activate. Use navigation to rewind/resume.

WARNING! Do not move the unit during recording or playback. Finalize recorded DVDs if you wish to play them in other players.

Accessibility Features

Subtitle & Audio Track: Press SUBTITLE or AUDIO button during DVD/TV playback to select available tracks. Parental Control: Set a password in the settings to restrict playback of certain rated DVDs or TV times.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug from mains before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. For the VHS video heads, use a quality cleaning cassette only when playback quality degrades. Do not attempt to clean heads manually.
