Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Place the main unit on a stable, well-ventilated surface.

  1. Connect Speakers: Match speaker wires to correct terminals (Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R, Subwoofer). Observe polarity (+/-).
  2. Connect Audio Sources: Use HDMI, optical, coaxial, or analog cables to connect your TV, Blu-ray player, game console, etc., to the corresponding inputs on the amplifier.
  3. Connect Antennas: Attach the supplied FM wire antenna and AM loop antenna to their respective terminals.
  4. Connect to Power: Plug the supplied power cord into the AC inlet on the rear and then into a wall outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the unit is disconnected from power during connection. Do not block ventilation slots.

First-Time Setup

Power on the amplifier; the display will illuminate.

  1. Initial Source Setup: Press INPUT SELECT to choose the source you wish to configure first (e.g., HDMI1).
  2. Speaker Configuration: Access the SETUP menu via remote to set speaker size (Large/Small), distance, and channel levels. Run the auto-calibration if supported.

Connecting Devices

HDMI: For best quality, connect source devices (Blu-ray, streaming box) to HDMI IN ports, and connect HDMI OUT to your TV. Optical/Coaxial: For TVs or devices without HDMI ARC. Analog: For older CD players, tape decks.

  1. Turn off the amplifier and all devices before making connections.
  2. Use high-quality cables suitable for the signal type (e.g., high-speed HDMI).
  3. Assign the input in the SETUP menu if necessary (e.g., assign "GAME" to Optical 1).

Tip: For ARC (Audio Return Channel) to work, enable HDMI-CEC and ARC in both the TV and amplifier settings.

Playing Media

Supports playback from connected sources and USB storage.

  1. USB Playback: Insert USB drive into front/rear port. Select USB as input. Use remote to navigate folders and play files.
  2. Bluetooth Streaming: Select BT as input. Put your Bluetooth device (phone/tablet) in pairing mode. The amplifier should appear as "LG HT904SA". Select to connect and stream audio.
  3. Radio: Select TUNER input. Use TUNE or PRESET buttons to select a station. Press and hold a number button to save a preset.
  4. Connected Devices: Select the corresponding input (HDMI1, OPT, etc.) for the device you wish to use.

WARNING! Safely eject USB storage using the on-screen option before physical removal to prevent data corruption.

Network & Connectivity

Bluetooth: For wireless audio streaming. Ensure the amplifier is in BT mode and discoverable. USB: For direct playback of audio files. Firmware updates may also be performed via USB (check LG website).

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect from power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

Troubleshooting
