Installation

Unpack all components and inspect for damage. Place the main unit on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.

  1. Connect to TV/Display: Use the provided video cables (composite or component) to connect VIDEO OUT ports to your TV.
  2. Connect to Audio System: Use audio cables to connect AUDIO OUT (L/R) to an amplifier or sound system. For digital audio, use an optical cable.
  3. Connect Antennas: Attach the supplied AM loop antenna and FM wire antenna to their respective terminals.
  4. Plug into AC power outlet.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Keep away from heat sources and moisture.

First-Time Setup

Power on the system and your connected TV. Follow initial configuration steps.

  1. Set Display Language: Use the SETUP menu to select your preferred on-screen language.
  2. Configure TV Type: Select the correct screen aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9) for your TV.
  3. Tuner Setup: For radio, perform auto-tuning to scan and store available AM/FM stations.
  4. Audio Settings: Adjust default sound mode (e.g., Stereo, Surround simulation) and speaker settings if applicable.

CAUTION! Handle discs by the edges. Do not place heavy objects on the unit.

Access the on-screen menu via the MENU button on the remote or front panel. Front Panel: POWER, OPEN/CLOSE, PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, SKIP buttons, VOLUME knob, INPUT SELECT.

Remote: POWER, Numeric buttons, MENU, NAVIGATION arrows, ENTER, RETURN, AUDIO (sound mode), SUBTITLE, ANGLE, REPEAT, ZOOM.

Setup Menu: Language, TV Aspect, Parental Lock (default password 0000), Audio (Digital Out, Downmix), Display (Screen Saver, Brightness). Playback Settings: Repeat (Track/Chapter/All), Shuffle, Resume, Bookmark.

Connecting Devices

TV/Display: Use VIDEO OUT. Audio System: Use AUDIO OUT or OPTICAL OUT. USB: Front panel port for flash drives.

  1. Ensure all devices are powered off before making connections.
  2. Use high-quality cables for best performance.
  3. Select the correct input source on your TV and amplifier.
  4. Use the INPUT button on the unit or remote to select between DVD, USB, or TUNER.

Tip: For digital audio, ensure your receiver is set to receive the correct signal (e.g., PCM, Bitstream).

Playing Disc Media

Supports DVD-Video, audio CDs, and data discs with MP3/WMA files.

  1. Insert disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up in the tray, press OPEN/CLOSE again.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; navigation menu may appear for DVDs.
  3. Skip/Search: Use PREV/NEXT to skip chapters/tracks; use LEFT/RIGHT arrows to fast forward/rewind.
  4. Pause/Stop: Press PAUSE; press STOP once for pause memory, twice to clear memory.
  5. Repeat/Shuffle: Press REPEAT to cycle modes; press SHUFFLE during CD/MP3 playback.
  6. Zoom: Press ZOOM during DVD playback to magnify picture (cycles through levels).
  7. Audio/Subtitle: Press AUDIO or SUBTITLE to select available tracks.
  8. Resume: If stopped with memory, pressing PLAY will resume from the last stop point.

WARNING! Do not move the unit while a disc is spinning. Do not use cracked or deformed discs.

Radio Operation

Listening to AM/FM radio.

  1. Press INPUT to select TUNER mode.
  2. Press BAND to switch between AM and FM.
  3. Press and hold TUNING +/- for automatic scanning, or press briefly for manual tuning.
  4. To store a station: Tune to the desired frequency, press and hold a number button (0-9) for 2 seconds.
  5. To recall a preset: Press the corresponding number button.

Note: For best FM reception, fully extend the wire antenna and position it vertically.

Care & Cleaning

Always disconnect the power cord before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cabinet. For stubborn stains, dampen the cloth slightly with water. Never use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or sprays directly on the unit.

CAUTION! Do not allow liquid to enter any openings. Clean the lens only with a specialized CD/DVD lens cleaning disc if necessary.
