Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a stable, level surface.

  1. Connect to TV: Use Component Video cables (preferred) or the supplied AV cable to corresponding TV inputs.
  2. Connect Audio: Use Optical Digital cable to home theater or RCA audio cables to TV/amplifier.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the AC power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  4. Insert Batteries: Install two AAA batteries into the remote control.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Keep away from heat sources and moisture.

First-Time Setup

Power on the DVD player and your TV. Select the correct input source on your TV.

  1. Set Language: Use the SETUP menu to select OSD language (ENGLISH, ESPAÑOL, FRANÇAIS).
  2. Configure Video Output: In SETUP, choose TV Shape (4:3 or 16:9) and Scan Mode (Interlaced or Progressive).
  3. Configure Audio: Set Digital Output (PCM or Bitstream) and Dynamic Range Compression.
  4. Set Parental Lock: Establish a password and desired rating level if needed.

Connecting Devices

Playing Disc Media

Supports a wide range of disc formats.

  1. Insert Disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up, press OPEN/CLOSE again.
  2. Basic Playback: Press PLAY. Use SKIP buttons for next/previous chapter or track.
  3. Search: Press LEFT/RIGHT arrows during playback for fast search.
  4. Pause/Still: Press PAUSE. Use LEFT/RIGHT arrows for slow motion.
  5. Stop: Press STOP once to stop (retains memory). Press twice to clear memory.
  6. Zoom: Press ZOOM button during playback to magnify picture (1.5X, 2X).
  7. Repeat: Press REPEAT to cycle through repeat modes (Off, Title, Chapter, Track, All).
  8. Program Play: Press PROGRAM to create a custom play list from disc contents.

WARNING! Do not move the player while a disc is spinning. Do not use damaged or irregularly shaped discs.

Special Functions

Parental Lock: Set in SETUP menu using a 4-digit password. Blocks discs above a set rating.
Audio/Subtitle: Press AUDIO or SUBTITLE during DVD playback to select available tracks.
Last Memory: Automatically resumes playback from the point where STOP was pressed (if memory not cleared).

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the player from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cabinet. For stubborn stains, use a cloth slightly dampened with water. Do not use solvents.

CAUTION! Never spray liquids directly onto the unit. Do not allow moisture to enter the ventilation slots.
