Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place the player on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.

  1. Connect to TV: Use the provided AV cable (composite) or optional component/SCART cable for best quality.
  2. Connect to Audio System: Use the coaxial digital output or analog audio outputs for sound.
  3. Plug the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet.
  4. Insert two AAA batteries into the remote control.

First-Time Setup

Power on the player and TV. Follow the on-screen setup menu.

  1. Select Language: Choose your preferred menu language (default is ENGLISH).
  2. Set TV Aspect Ratio: Choose 4:3 or 16:9 based on your TV type.
  3. Configure Audio Output: Set to PCM or Bitstream based on your audio system.

Connecting Devices

TV Connection: Use composite (yellow), S-Video, component, or SCART cable. Audio System: Use analog stereo (red/white) or digital coaxial cable.

  1. Turn off all devices before making connections.
  2. Match cable colors to corresponding jacks (Video = Yellow, Audio L = White, Audio R = Red).
  3. For component video, connect Y (green), Pb (blue), Pr (red) to TV.
  4. Select the correct input source on your TV (e.g., AV1, Component).

Playing Media

  1. Insert disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up, press OPEN/CLOSE again.

  3. Pause/Still: Press PAUSE; use STEP button for frame advance.
  4. Stop: Press STOP; press PLAY to resume from stop point (if resume feature is on).
  5. Skip: PREV/NEXT to jump to previous/next chapter or track.
  6. Search: Press LEFT/RIGHT arrows during playback for fast forward/reverse.
  7. Repeat: Press REPEAT to cycle through repeat modes (Off, Chapter, Title, A-B).
  8. Zoom: Press ZOOM to magnify picture (2X, 4X). Use arrow keys to pan.

WARNING! Do not move the player while a disc is spinning. Do not use damaged or irregularly shaped discs.

Advanced Functions

Parental Lock: Set a password (default 0000) and rating level (e.g., G, PG, PG-13, R) in the SETUP menu. Slow Motion: Press SLOW during playback. Multi-angle: Press ANGLE if the disc contains multiple camera angles. Audio/Subtitle Selection: Press AUDIO or SUBTITLE during playback to change tracks.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the player from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cabinet. For stubborn stains, dampen the cloth slightly with water. Never use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not allow liquids to enter the ventilation slots or disc tray. Clean the laser lens only with a specialized CD/DVD lens cleaning disc.
