Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place the player on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.

  2. Connect to Audio System: Use optical or coaxial digital cable to your receiver for surround sound.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the AC power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the player is placed in a well-ventilated area. Do not block ventilation openings.

First-Time Setup

Power on the player and your TV. Select the correct input source on your TV (e.g., Component, Video).

  1. Initial Language: The on-screen menu will prompt for language selection (default is ENGLISH).
  2. TV Type: Set the TV aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9) to match your television.
  3. Progressive Scan: Enable Progressive Scan output if your TV supports it for optimal picture quality.

Access the main menu by pressing the MENU button on the remote. Front Panel: POWER, OPEN/CLOSE, PLAY/PAUSE, STOP.

Video Settings: TV Aspect (4:3, 16:9), Progressive Scan (On/Off), Screen Saver. Audio Settings: Digital Output (PCM/Bitstream), Dynamic Range Compression. Preference Settings: Menu Language, Disc Menu, Parental Control (default password 0000).

Connecting Devices

TV: Use Component (Y, Pb, Pr) or Composite (Yellow, White, Red) cables. Audio System: Use Optical or Coaxial digital cable.

  1. Ensure all devices are turned off before making connections.
  2. Match cable colors to corresponding input jacks on the TV and audio system.
  3. For best picture quality, use component video connections.
  4. Switch your TV's input source to match the connection (e.g., Component 1, Video 1).

Playing Media

Supports DVD-Video, Video CD, Audio CD, MP3 CD, JPEG Photo CD, and DivX files.

  1. Insert Disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up, press OPEN/CLOSE again to close.
  2. Play: Press PLAY. Use the navigation buttons to select titles, chapters, or tracks.
  3. USB Playback: Insert a USB drive into the front port. Use the MENU to browse and select files.
  4. Special Functions:
    • Skip: PREV/NEXT to skip chapters or tracks.
    • Search: Use LEFT/RIGHT arrows during playback.
    • Repeat: Press REPEAT to repeat a chapter, track, title, or all.

  5. Resume: The player remembers the last stop point on most discs (Last Memory).

WARNING! Do not move the player while a disc is spinning. Do not use damaged or irregularly shaped discs.

Advanced Features

Parental Control: Set a password (default 0000) and restrict playback by movie rating in the SETUP menu. DivX® VOD: Play registered DivX Video-on-Demand files. JPEG Slideshow: View photo CDs with transition effects and background music.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the player from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cabinet. For stubborn stains, dampen the cloth slightly with water. Never use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not allow liquids to enter the unit through ventilation slots or the disc tray.
