Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Place unit on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.

  1. Connect to TV: Use AV cables (included) to connect AV OUT on DV240-PZ to AV IN on TV. Alternatively, use RF coaxial cable to connect RF OUT to TV antenna input.
  2. Connect antenna/cable: Attach antenna or cable TV line to RF IN on the unit.
  3. Connect external devices (optional): Use AV IN jacks for connecting a camcorder or other video source.
  4. Plug power cord into a standard AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Handle with care to avoid damage.

First-Time Setup

Power on the unit and your TV. Set TV to correct input source (AV or Channel 3/4).

  1. Set clock: Use remote to access menu, navigate to CLOCK SETTING, and set current time (essential for timer recording).
  2. Channel setup (if using RF connection): Auto-program channels via menu or manually set TV to broadcast channel 3 or 4 (as per unit's output setting).

  1. Ensure all devices are powered off.
  2. Match cable colors: Yellow (Video), White (Left Audio), Red (Right Audio).

Playing Media

Recording Functions

Record from TV tuner or external AV input to VHS tape (and to DVD if model supports DVD recording).

  1. Prepare recording media: Insert a recordable VHS tape or DVD.
  2. Select source: Tune to desired TV channel or select external AV input.
  3. Start recording: Press REC. For timer recording, program via OSD menu (set date, time, channel, duration).
  4. Stop recording: Press STOP. For VHS, recording speed can be set to SP (Standard Play), LP (Long Play), or EP (Extended Play).
  5. Recording to DVD (if supported): Follow on-screen prompts; finalize disc after recording if required for playback on other devices.

Care & Cleaning
