Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place the player on a stable, level surface near your TV and audio system.

  1. Connect to TV: Use component video cables (preferred) or the included composite AV cable to the corresponding inputs on your TV.
  2. Connect to Audio System: Use the optical digital audio cable or the analog audio cables (L/R) to your receiver or sound system.
  3. Plug the AC power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  4. Insert two AAA batteries into the remote control.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents on the sides or rear of the unit.

First-Time Setup

Power on the player and your TV. Select the correct input source on your TV (e.g., Component, Video 1).

  1. Initial Language: The on-screen menu will appear. Select your preferred menu language.
  2. TV Aspect Ratio: Set the screen format (16:9 Widescreen or 4:3 Standard) to match your TV.
  3. Progressive Scan: If your TV supports it, enable Progressive Scan output in the VIDEO settings menu for best picture quality.
  4. Audio Output: Configure the digital audio output format (PCM or Bitstream) based on your audio system's capabilities.

CAUTION! Handle discs by the edges; avoid touching the playback surface.

Access the main menu by pressing the MENU button on the remote. Front Panel: POWER, OPEN/CLOSE, PLAY/PAUSE, STOP.

Connecting Devices

TV: Use Component (Y, Pb, Pr) or Composite (Video, L, R) cables. Audio System: Use Optical Digital or Analog Audio cables.

  1. Turn off all devices before making connections.
  2. Match cable colors to jack colors for composite connections (Yellow=Video, Red=Right Audio, White=Left Audio).
  3. For component video, connect green (Y), blue (Pb), and red (Pr) to corresponding TV inputs.
  4. Select the correct input source on your TV and audio receiver.

Playing Disc Media

WARNING! Do not move the player while a disc is spinning. Do not use damaged or irregularly shaped discs.

Advanced Features

Progressive Scan: Delivers 480p resolution for a sharper, more stable picture on compatible HDTVs. DivX Playback: Play video files burned on CD-R/RW or DVD±R/RW discs. MP3/JPEG Playback: Create custom music and photo slideshow discs. Parental Control: Limit playback of DVDs based on ratings (G, PG, PG-13, R, etc.).

Care & Cleaning

Always unplug the player from the AC outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cabinet. For stubborn stains, dampen the cloth slightly with water.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemicals. Do not allow liquid to enter the unit through vents or the disc tray.
