Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, well-ventilated surface.

  1. Connect antenna or cable: Attach coaxial cable from wall outlet to ANTENNA IN on rear panel.
  2. Connect to TV: Use HDMI cable for best quality (recommended) or Component/SCART cables.
  3. Connect audio: If using analog connections, ensure L/R audio cables are connected.
  4. Plug into AC power outlet.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Use two people for handling if unit is heavy.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit and TV; follow on-screen setup wizard.

  1. Auto-tune channels: Select 'Installation' in menu, choose 'Auto Search' for digital channels.
  2. Set language: In SETUP menu, select preferred language for menus and guides.
  3. Set time and date: Essential for timer recordings and EPG accuracy.

Connecting Devices

Tip: For best recording quality from external devices, use direct connections (SCART or S-Video) rather than RF.

Recording & Playback

Supports recording from TV tuner or external inputs to DVD or VHS.

  1. Instant Record: Press REC once for default quality, twice to select quality.
  2. Timer Record: Use GUIDE or TIMER button to schedule future recordings.
  3. Play DVD/VCD/CD: Insert disc, it will start playing automatically or press PLAY.
  4. Play VHS: Insert tape, press PLAY; use FF/REW for navigation.
  5. Time Shift: Press TIME SHIFT during live TV to pause; buffer time depends on available space.
  6. Chapter Management: During DVD recording, press CHAPTER to create chapters manually.
  7. Finalize Disc: For DVD±R, finalize in menu to play in other players.

WARNING! Do not disconnect power during recording or finalizing. Do not use damaged tapes or discs.

Timer & Guide Functions

EPG (Electronic Program Guide): Press GUIDE to view program listings; select program for immediate viewing or set timer recording. Timer Recording: Can set multiple recordings by date, time, channel, and duration. VPS/PDC: For accurate recording start/stop times based on broadcast signals (if supported).

Care & Cleaning

Unplug from power before cleaning. Clean exterior with soft, dry cloth. For DVD lens or VHS heads, use approved cleaning discs/tapes only.
