Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface near TV.

  1. Connect to TV: Use HDMI, component, or SCART cable for video/audio output.
  2. Connect antenna: Attach TV antenna cable to ANTENNA IN connector.
  3. Connect audio system: Use optical or analog audio outputs to home theater.
  4. Connect power: Plug into AC power outlet.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit; follow on-screen setup wizard.

Recording Settings: Quality (HQ/SP/LP/EP), timer recording, chase play. Playback: Slow motion, frame advance, zoom, repeat. System: Language, clock, channel edit, parental lock (default 0000). Disc Management: Format, finalize, copy from HDD to DVD.

Connecting Devices

TV: HDMI or component video. Audio System: Optical or analog audio. External Sources: SCART or composite inputs.

  1. Turn off all devices before connecting.
  2. Use high-quality cables for best performance.
  3. Select input source on TV (HDMI, AV, etc.).
  4. Configure audio output format in menu.

Tip: Use HDMI for best picture and sound quality.

Recording and Playback

Supports recording to HDD and DVD, playback of recorded content and commercial DVDs.

  1. Instant recording: Press REC button during TV viewing.
  2. Manual recording: Set start/end time and quality in recording menu.
  3. Time shift: Press PAUSE during live TV, resume with PLAY.
  4. Copy recordings: Transfer from HDD to DVD in disc management.
  5. Playback controls: PLAY, PAUSE, STOP, FF, REW, SLOW, FRAME ADVANCE.

  7. Bookmark: Mark positions for quick access.

WARNING! Do not move unit during recording or playback. Finalize DVD before playing in other devices.

Timer and Scheduled Recording

Program up to 32 timer recordings. EPG (Electronic Program Guide) support for easy scheduling.

  1. Access timer menu: Press TIMER or GUIDE button.
  2. Select program from EPG or enter manually.
  3. Set recording quality and target (HDD or DVD).
  4. Confirm and save timer setting.
  5. View timer list: Check scheduled recordings.
  6. Edit/delete: Modify or remove scheduled recordings.

Note: Unit must be in standby mode for timer recordings to start.

Care & Maintenance
