Installation

Unpack all components and inspect for damage. Place the unit on a stable, level surface away from direct heat sources and moisture.

  1. Position the Device: Ensure adequate ventilation on all sides.
  2. Connect Power: Plug the AC power cord into a grounded 120V outlet.
  3. Connect Antenna/Cable: Attach your signal source to the appropriate input.

First-Time Setup

Upon first power-up, follow the on-screen instructions to configure your LG C251.

  1. Select Language: Choose your preferred menu language from the list.
  2. Channel Scan: Perform an automatic channel search to find available broadcasts.

Connecting Devices

  1. Ensure all devices and the LG C251 are turned OFF.
  2. Use high-quality cables (HDMI recommended for best quality).
  3. Connect the video/audio output of your external device to an available input on the LG C251 (e.g., HDMI 1).
  4. Power on the external device first, then power on the LG C251.
  5. Press the INPUT button on the remote to select the corresponding source (e.g., HDMI 1).

Tip: Label your cables for easier identification when switching between multiple devices.

Operating Modes

The LG C251 supports various modes for different types of content and inputs.

Closed Captioning: Enable via the SETTINGS menu. Supports multiple caption channels.

Audio Description: When available, provides narrated descriptions of on-screen action.

Parental Controls: Restrict content based on ratings. The default password is 0000. Change it in the settings for security.

High Contrast Menu: Optional setting for easier menu reading.

Care & Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures longevity and optimal performance.

  1. Always unplug the device from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen and cabinet.
  3. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water only. Do not spray liquid directly onto the screen.
