Installation & Setup

Unpack and verify all components. Place player on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation.

  1. Connect to TV: Use included HDMI cable to connect HDMI OUT on player to HDMI input on TV.
  2. Connect to audio system: For surround sound, connect via HDMI ARC or optical audio output.
  3. Connect power: Plug power cord into AC outlet (120V, 60Hz).
  4. Connect to network: Use Wi-Fi (built-in) or Ethernet cable for internet access.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Use two people if moving heavy equipment.

First-Time Configuration

Power on player and TV; select correct HDMI input on TV.

  1. Select language: Choose preferred on-screen menu language.
  2. Network setup: Connect to Wi-Fi or wired network; follow on-screen prompts.
  3. Software update: Check for and install latest firmware if prompted.
  4. Smart TV registration: Sign in or create accounts for streaming services.

Network Setup

For Smart TV features and firmware updates.

  1. Wired: Connect Ethernet cable to router and player.
  2. Wireless: Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi Connection; select network and enter password.
  3. Test connection: Verify internet access in Network Status.
  4. Update software: Check for updates in Settings > System > Software Update.

Tip: For best streaming performance, use a 5GHz Wi-Fi band if supported.

Playing Discs & Media

Supports Blu-ray, DVD, CD, and USB media.

  1. Insert disc: Press EJECT, place disc label-side up, close tray.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; use SKIP/SEARCH for navigation.
  3. USB playback: Insert USB drive; select USB device from Home menu.
  4. Special functions: Use TOOLS for repeat, A-B repeat, zoom, subtitle/audio track selection.
  5. Resume play: Some discs support resume from last stop point.
  6. Photo/Music playback: View JPEGs or play MP3/WMA files from USB or CD.

WARNING! Do not touch disc surface; handle by edges. Do not use damaged discs.

Smart TV Features

Access LG Smart World from HOME button.

Parental Controls: Set ratings limits for disc and streaming content (default password 0000).

Maintenance & Care

Unplug from power before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth; avoid liquids and abrasive cleaners.
